5 Then they went on their journey, and the [a]fear of God was upon the cities that were round about them: so that they did not follow after the sons of Jacob.
6 ¶ So came Jacob to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan: (the same is Bethel) he and all the people that were with him.
7 And he built there an altar, and (A)had called the place, The God of Bethel, because that God appeared unto him there, when he fled from his brother.
